Delving Deeper in the Orthodox Christian Faith
Living in the world. Longing for the desert.
“Everything in this life passes away—only God remains, only He is worth struggling towards. We have a choice: to follow the way of this world, of the society that surrounds us, and thereby find ourselves outside of God; or to choose the way of life, to choose God Who calls us and for Whom our heart is searching.” — Fr. I just ordered your new book for my husband’s birthday 🙂
Thanks Ann. I hope you all are well. Come visit soon!
what is your book about, Father?
Jonathan, Ask for the Ancient Paths, is a popular level introduction to the basic and life changing teachings of early Christianity (Orthodoxy). It is meant to be engaging and conversational and geared toward those who are already Christians of one variety or another. The book would also benefit many Orthodox Christians who have grown up in the Church without a strong understanding of why we believe the things that we believe. You can read the first review here: http://bradshaw.cc/2013/08/review-ask-for-the-ancient-paths/ Have a blessed evening 🙂
As a recent convert, it sounds like a book I gotta read at some point 🙂 thanks for telling me more about it, Father.
You’re welcome. I hope you enjoy it.
